Why is the silver rate different on every website?
Silver publishers can report different products, units, locations, tax treatment and update times. A converted world-market benchmark is not the same product as an Indian retail quote, so this page labels them separately rather than assigning one cause to the gap.
Is silver hallmarked like gold?
Silver hallmarking requirements and marks can change. Ask the seller what standard applies to the item and verify the current rules and recognised marks on the official BIS website before relying on a stamp.
What do 999 and 925 silver mean?
999 denotes 99.9% fineness and 925 denotes sterling fineness. Products use different grades, so compare the fineness on the item and invoice with the grade named beside the displayed rate.
